DIFFERENT

Image
I don't want to hear you anymore  Nor do I need to see any more  I want to listen and learn from you  Let me be blinded by your vision I have always done it on my own  It's like I am stuck in a pattern  I have lost what matters before  Something I don't wish for again  But you whisper to my ears that you are distinct  Yet I also long to be odd  My heart and mind have concurred  This once they've all approved you  But will you be able to heal my heartache I don't even recognise the man in the mirror  Maybe let me mirror myself in you  I want the whole world to recognise  There is something different  I am giving up everything to be different I just hope you won't take off  After getting started with me  I am letting go to face my fears  Because of you.... I want to be different in you        Burton D'poet

My African woman

Image
Let me tell you about my African woman  Her resilience is tremendous  Her countenance is one I long to glare at daily  When she talks, my God! Her voice is like gushing water  The sweetness of hearing that rush on the oceans  That's how I am left when she enunciates Her viscosity in all she does  The benevolence of heart and virtue  When she smiles  I never wish it to stop  I enjoy seeing her happy  If you ever want to know what I am able of Mess with her joy  She is a vital girder I lean on  My affection for her will end not I love you!

Sweet hurt

Image
This heart that once knew you Still stings for you  You snatched from it and never repaid  Currently with every heartbeat  It thumps rhythmically your name  I never felt you would subdue my heart as you did  Made an effort to shirk all about you  But still, a slab of you plays on Sought medical attention I was warned to get over you  But how do I get over you?  With every melody of your name  My heart rejoices the more  Let's mislay in this symphony  Probably then I will let you go  As of now you yet cling to my heart  Hope you hear it's a loud cry.    Burton D'poet

Dear future Mrs

Image
She snatched my hands  Held my midriff  Stared in my eyes  And spoke to my ears "Let me have this dance"  Minus asserting anything I tugged her close to me  The evening was calm  Soothing music at the scene  This was the time I realised where I belonged  Right in her embrace  With a  stunning smile Scenting her sweet perfume With my legs obeying her steps   That moment was all I ever longed  This tinkers again in my head  Can't seem to get enough of it  When that day comes  I will love you forever  Ours is what has never been seen  Dear future Mrs. Burton D'poet

WOMAN OF MY DREAMS

Image
She is from the land of the unknown.   When I saw her it was esoteric  Her smile was virulent  When she spoke  Life was what proceeded out of her  I fell for her at first sight  I tried quelling her  Her beauty coaxed me  I tried reevaluating but I was in for her Her love for coffee, Is appealing to me  Tryina capture her notoriety  Like coffee has got hers  She is a great person  Not only is she beautiful But remarkably a lovely soul I am enthralled by her character I love her but hope she reckons it  Then shall I slumber forever  Basking in the sight of the woman of my dreams  But it's only a dream.   *Burton D'poet*

Happy Father's Day

Image
I’ve declared it before, but it’s true: My mother offered me my drive, but my father lent me my dreams. Thanks to him, I can see a future”. A father is someone you look up to no matter how tall you grow. Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone unusual to be a dad, and that’s why I call you dad because you are so special to me. You instructed me in the game and you taught me how to putter it right.  Happy Father's Day to all fathers out there

Only wish you were here  But these days you became rare  I no longer feel myself  Do you ever think about me  Well as for me I am on a daily  I don't know if you get me clearly  You stole my heart  Captured my mind  Enslaved my thoughts  Now it's memories of you  I miss you dear https://t.co/B1an58jcON
